Lydia has been working abroad for several years. She is talking to her friend, Tony, about a bank notice she received a few days ago.

Tony: I’m afraid that is not rendered as “account activity.” You need to log into your account, make a transfer, withdrawal or deposit to keep your account activated. You can also schedule a recurring transfer into or out of the account each month.

Tony: That’s true. Your bank may tack on an inactivity fee that eats away at the account balance. If it is unnecessary to keep the account active, shift the funds in the account to an active one and have it closed.
托尼：這倒是。銀行可能會加收不活躍帳戶的費用，久而久之就會扣光帳戶餘額。如果沒必要讓帳戶開著，那就把帳戶裡的錢轉到活躍的帳戶，並把它關掉。
