Shawn: I thought it might not. So why do so many people do it?
肖恩：我就想可能沒用。那為什麼這麼多人還是這麼做呢？
Mel: I guess they just think taping the glass makes the window stronger. But the government did tests and found that taping windows actually makes them weaker.
梅爾：我猜他們只是覺得用膠帶貼玻璃可以讓窗戶更牢固。但政府做了測試，發現貼膠帶實際上會讓窗戶變得更脆弱。

Shawn: That makes sense. The film will stop small pieces of glass from hurting people if the window gets broken.
肖恩：挺有道理的。如果窗戶破了，保護膜可以防止玻璃碎片傷到人。

Mel: Yep. I’m going to buy some film online for my parents. It will keep their house safer and save them time on taping windows.
梅爾：沒錯。我打算上網幫我父母買一些保護膜。這樣他們的房子會更安全，也不會浪費時間貼窗戶。
