Deputy Defense Minister Po Horng-huei claimed on March 11 that in the event of an attack by China, Taiwan’s air defenses would be far superior to the People’s Liberation Army’s warplanes.

First, Po said if PLA aircraft attack the island, the enemy’s warplanes would be “exposed to Taiwan’s air defense system and within range of its firepower.”

On the topic of Chinese planes regularly entering Taiwan’s airspace, Po added that the Ministry of National Defense has already “established an identification mechanism” for these types of violations.
