Nathan: I read online that someone saved up NT$1.2 million in a term deposit and thought he could collect interest on the whole amount.
奈森:我今天看到網路上有人說他存了120多萬的定存,以為可以拿到全額相對應的利息。

Lily: Then what happened?
莉莉:然後怎麼了?
Nathan: The bank told him he could only collect interest for the first 1 million dollars he had deposited into the account. For the rest of the money he had saved, the 200,000 dollars, it ended up gaining no interest.
奈森:銀行告訴他只有100萬的存款可以收取利息,結果剩下的20多萬就沒有利息。

Lily: Mostly. There’s a limit on the amount of money that collects interest. But they often have different systems, so it depends.
莉莉:大部份,可以收取利息的金額有個上限,但每家銀行機制不同所以也要看情況。
