Irene is talking to her personal trainer, Igor.

Irene: Is it okay if I do some lower-intensity exercises today?
lower-intensity(adj.)低強度的exercise(n.)(v.)運動
Igor: And why is that?
Irene: My muscles are sore. I think I worked out too much yesterday.
work out運動、鍛鍊
Igor: Well, usually you can relieve the pain by just using a hot compress or by applying a cold compress to the injured area.

Irene: Oh really? That’s good to know. So far I’ve only massaged very lightly the areas that are sore.
so far目前為止have(has) V-pp現在完成式(已經…)massage(v.)(n.)按摩lightly(adv.)輕輕地=gently, softly
Igor: A massage could potentially help as well. Also, drinking cherry juice helps ease the pain. Some people completely stop exercising when they get sore muscles, but exercising moderately not only makes the muscles stronger, it even helps with easing the pain.
