Chloe Zhao, director of the film “Nomadland,” has made history at the 93rd Academy Awards ceremony, becoming the first Asian woman to clinch Best Director in the Oscar race.

In Chloe’s acceptance speech, she spoke of her memories growing up in China and recited the first phrase of the “Three Character Classic” poem where it goes “people at birth are inherently good.”
