Later, Premier Su Tseng-chang called Cheng in person three times and convinced her to stay.

Cheng said that she was touched by Su for supporting her, and Su said that “they share similar personalities and pursue the same ideals in life.”
鄭麗君表示，她被蘇貞昌的支持感動，蘇貞昌並説「我們都是ㄧ生追求理想的人」。
She also promised to do her best to fulfill the needs of different people from different fields.
