Tesla shares soared to a record high this holiday season, after a bullish analyst report said recent data from Europe and China suggest the electric-car maker may be on the cusp of a new period of growth and profitability.

Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives raised his price target on the stock to $370 from $270 in a note last month, saying Model 3 consumer demand and profitability seem to be on an “upward trajectory for the fourth quarter.”

Looking forward, Tesla’s future growth is heavily dependent on China, and so Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory and demand in the region will be “front and center” for investors over the next 12 to 18 months, he added.
