At least 208 people are believed to have been killed in Iran amid a crackdown on protests over a surprise gasoline price hike, Amnesty International said.

In a statement on Monday, the London-based rights group said that it had received credible reports that more than 200 people were killed in under a week, adding that the real figure was likely to be higher.
