In response to the policy of developing Taiwan into a bilingual nation, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) has chosen two banks as models to demonstrate how to provide financial services in English.

Mega Financial co-chairman Michael Chang has even set a goal for the company to provide bilingual service at all branches by 2028.

These two banks are both in the Tianmu area, where many foreigners reside and several foreign schools are located.

Chairman Koo of the FSC added that apart from the DBS and Mega Bank branches, 14 other model banks are on their way as well, with the aim of helping Taiwan’s financial industry to meet international standards.
