Nancy: Right. The system is able to capture a gymnast’s movement and convert it into 3D images in real time.

Ted: This means that the judges can refer to the 3D images when determining the score. Sometimes it’s difficult for judges to register a gymnast’s every single movement with the naked eye, since they perform quickly with lots of complex tricks.
