A new study by women’s rights group LeanIn.Org found that 60 percent of male managers said they feel uncomfortable interacting with women in common one-on-one job-related activities.

The survey results show that women are missing out on chances for mentorship and professional links that could lead to promotion, says LeanIn’s founder and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.

“Our careers have been made possible because people along the way believed in us and made sure others knew it. They gave us challenges that let us stretch and prove ourselves, and offered generous advice about how to succeed,” says Sandberg in a statement.
