After being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 31st Golden Melody Awards ceremony took place on October 3 at the newly-opened Taipei Music Center.

Taiwanese aboriginal singer Abao bagged three awards out of eight nods with her album “Kinakaian: Mother Tongue,” including Album of the Year, Best Indigenous Language Album, and her song “Thank You” clinched Song of the Year, making her the biggest winner of the night.
獲得八項入圍的原住民歌手阿爆憑藉專輯《Kinakaian 母親的舌頭》囊括三個獎項，包括年度專輯獎、最佳原住民語專輯獎，並以歌曲《Thank You》奪得年度歌曲獎，成為當晚的最大贏家。

“Through this album, I hope you can understand the life of a minority. I hope to foster more understanding and less misunderstanding,” Abao said in her acceptance speech.
