Here are some basic rules to help you enjoy the matches.

A football pitch is about 100 meters long and 64 to 75 meters wide.

A match lasts 90 minutes, with two 45-minute halves and a 15-minute break.

One important rule is offside.
越位是重要規則之一。

A player is offside if they are closer to the opponent’s goal line than both the ball and the second-last defender when receiving a pass.
當球員接球時，若比球和倒數第二名防守球員更靠近對方球門線，就會處於越位位置。

This rule prevents attackers from waiting near the goal.
這項規則可避免進攻球員一直守在球門前等待得分機會。

Another key rule is the penalty kick.
另一項重要規則是罰球。

If a player commits a serious foul inside the penalty area, the other team gets a penalty kick from 12 yards.
如果球員在禁區內有嚴重犯規行為，對方球隊將獲得一次12碼罰球機會。

Players can also receive yellow and red cards.
球員也可能領到黃牌或紅牌。

A yellow card is a warning. Two yellow cards or one serious foul results in a red card, and the player must leave the game.
黃牌代表警告；若累積兩張黃牌，或出現一次嚴重犯規，就會被出示紅牌並直接退場。
