Singaporean special purpose acquisition company Vertex Technology Acquisition Corp. has announced that it will purchase the streaming platform 17LIVE Inc. for around S$925.1 million.

This move makes 17LIVE the first ever acquisition by a Singaporean SPAC since the Singapore Exchange started allowing these types of publicly traded “shell companies” in 2021.

It has been reported that VTAC “will issue up to 160.6 million new shares at S$5.00 each” and then 24.4 million more once specific financial goals are met.
